Dorian (Noisette)

The shoes are lovley, they don't feel padded when investigated by hand, but hold up well under foot for several hours. They also fit the width of my foot well, and my feet are near the wide end of average.

There is extra room at the end of the toe box. However, the widest part of the shoe fits the widest part of the foot and that room ensures that there was no squish at the forefoot and my toes could sit in their correct anatomical position. Highly recommend.

The clasp is very much an annoyance though. If you have cavus feet like me, it can be a struggle to fasten the hook as you need to pull it quite tight over the ankle.

I also found that they needed to be worn in like any other stiff leather shoe. There is little to no give during the first wears and it took some time for foot and shoe to get properly acquainted.

Overall, I love them and really want multiple colours to match my entire wardrobe.

I love the look of these shoes. I’m a US 7.5 normally so I sizes up to a 38 (per the instructions) and they’re just a bit too big, which makes them rub and have caused blisters on my ring toes and under the heels. I will try again in a 37 because the look is worth it. I tried adding an insole bit it raises the foot bed too high and forces the top of the foot rub uncomfortably. Next up… I’m going to wet them and dry them with a hairdryer. I’m bound and determined to make it work. They’re so cute (and so expensive!)

This is my 8th pair of Charlie Stone shoes. I just love them. They are pretty, elegant and most importantly very comfortable. You always look smart in them. I think this collection runs a bit large.
